There was a small church town 80 miles west of Salem, Massachusetts. It was not even on the charts and they wanted it that way. They knew that there had been eight hangings and one stone crushing of witches in Salem with more being held. They had their own witch, Emily Foster. Her husband had died of small pox the year before and she was barely surviving by doing chores for others and by reading auras and telling fortunes. Mrs. Foster had two children. The church council found her guilty along with her son and daughter. The death sentence would be by being impaled with a wooden spike. The children were included.
