You can take my Cookie picture as the example.
I used steak prop there as something irregular.
any prop which looks like a piece of meat is good.
By the way, this is also good for blood and wounds, you just create plane and apply transparent blood wound texture.
then all you need to do is to put that plane in the desired place with collision set to the body surface and here you have a great looking wound or blood drips that follow body surface.
If you don't mind more tinkering you can even create depth map to make that "sticker" 3d
P.S. it is a bit too late, but there is also package "deep wounds g3f "
which would be great for that scene because it has props for making it look as if pieces of the flesh are ripped away. Excellent for monster attacks.
