Just one suggestion for future works in regards on to how guys hold axes and bats.
In your pictures, it looks more as if they ate trying to squash something slowly instead of swinging them properly or as if they are using very little force and effort, especially if the guy starts swinging something holding it straight and ends holding it under the 90-degree angle in the end

To fix that, you should increase the angle between arm and item being hold to make it more straight line as if the tool is an extension of the hand in the moment when it hits the target.
also when you want to cut something with the ax you are supposed to hold it at the end of the handle.

I am thinking about how to add some motion blur for extra effect since those perfect stop-motion pictures look kinda weird.
