A future not too far away...

Global warming has reduced food production worldwide and famine is hitting even industrialized countries. The government has decided that somebody had to be blamed, and chosen the weakest population group: Young girls from low income families.

New laws have been passed. Girls are now sentenced to death for the slightest infringements. And fathers get 10'000 Dollars for every daughter they volunteer for execution. That's enough nowadays to buy them almost a weeks worth of food.
