Extreme close ups do not work well in my opinion. Textures get blurry and perspectives look strange. And last but not least it would expose the rather unskilled way I paint blood and bruises over the textures. So the inserts are about as close as I dare to go.

By the way, this is one of the advantages of Daz studio/Iray over Poser/Firefly. Painted textures look a lot better in many occasions in my opinion, because Iray kind off blurs and blends the better into the original textures . Although I am certainly not proud of the puncture wounds and blood on Darla, for instance here >>20197. I should have done that better.
