Well, it's hard to judge how I would do that, because it's a different medium from what I do. In text I can just spell out the characters' thoughts and emotions, while pictures are more focused on visuals. One thing that comes to my mind is that when the girl said "just try it" (rip her piercing off) for a moment I thought she actually means it without sarcasm, like if he wants to see what happens he should just go and try it, and then he would actually rip it off and fall because he had to pull hard and she would laugh at his fall.
Another thought I had before you posted the ending was how it might go with one kid jumping first and not dying immediately, and the other asking how was it, and the jumped kid would say something along the lines of "the landing is somewhat rough, but the flight felt awesome, totally worth it", then the other jumps too and confirms it is indeed a very enjoyable experience, then as they look at each others eyes with happy smiles and expressions like "see, told you it would be fun" "yeah, it totally was", they contentedly bleed out.
But your ending is fine too.
