One thing that comes to my mind is that when the girl said "just try it" (rip her piercing off) for a moment I thought she actually means it without sarcasm, like if he wants to see what happens he should just go and try it, and then he would actually rip it off and fall because he had to pull hard and she would laugh at his fall.

but yeah that woud be a great idea and extremely relevant to the plot.


Not dying immediately at this situation is kinda impossible :)
but again that kind of ending is also good. maybe I will use those ideas for some other story
