Ah, thank you for explaining! It makes a lot of sense. I don't have the patience for painting either - did a little in school but it's not for me. I have a three-stage process - I draw the basic shapes/figures in pencil, go over them in a little more detail with an ink pen, rub out the pencil then add the fine detail and shading etc :-)
