But your suspicion has certain amount of truth in it. ;)
Although it is not supposed to be official part of the story narrative just something what should be suspected to explain what exactly is happening ;)
I think your stories have similar issues like how society manages to survive while cooking girls everyday and why it is so casual ;)
You just do not bother to provide any clues to explain that.
