>>36727 Onix, for my taste dark skinned girls are certainly not less beautiful than white girls in real life. Which makes it more of a pity that they are hard do do them justice to in Daz Studio.

>>36780 Kardin I actually did use a light setup quite similar to your schematic in the cell scene with Kensey. But with iray rendering machine the skintone still changes in the 3D-pictures depending on the brightness and colour of light that falls on her, no matter from what distance or direction.

I think in real lfe our brain would correct for what our eyes perceive because it knows it's the same person and she cannot change skin color from one second to the next.

Maybe there are more sophisticated rendering engines then iray but it's the one I am staying with for now.

And thank you Onix >>36783 , yes I have learned one or two things about lighting by now. Even if there would be much more to know.
One thing I am doing differently from you is setting up the lights for a sequence, especially indoors. I used to look for a setup too where everything was visible without changing anything for later images. By now I am moving the lights without scruples, kind of like a photographer, to light up what I want to be seen and still have other parts of the picture in shadows for contrast.
