Good to see you're back, OP. It sucks to hear about the issues with sfm, but there is a way to help with preventing model load crashes.

You can create new folders, however you want to sort your models by, in the game folder instead of cluttering up usermod. Then adding new said folders in gameinfo.txt to put less stress on sfm.
