Chalk is relatively new, and in artistry terms he's still discovering himself. I wouldn't say he's not himself lately, on the contrary, I'd say he's actually finding himself, keeping what he likes, tossing what he doesn't like anymore, which, true, for some of us it sucks a little, because we were fans of the "discovery" era, but it is what it is, It happens all the time with every kind of content creator.
Most artist nowadays drop loli asap due to the current ongoing neopuritanism, and being already in a controversial niche, I don't blame Chalk for playing it a little safer.

While I hope he'll still make more of his older style stuff, I also don't want another case of a cool artist burning up and dropping things entirely because they were forced to please a demographic they no longer aim for.

Not a samefag, I don't totally agree with the other guy. As for the content, he mentioned he'd be moving away from loli, which, again, understandable in current times.
Necro is far too common on guro, one of the things I liked about Chalk's work was the sex first death later aspect, plus most if not all of the current works in progress are amongst the lines of the Witcher/Tomb Raider headless ones, which is just comedy guro, again, totally fine, it's still the main reason I like chalk's content, but I was also a fan of the other 2 things, even if just for their rarity in the community.
I could have also misunderstood what he was saying, even though I spent some time thinking about it. Admittedly I tend to misunderstand or misread some things.
