add dForce: not sure if it helps, and it may be as simply as stupid (but some older thread about the dForce suggested it):

When you changed GPU, did you select it on Advanced card under OpenCL device?

That is, I tried to select just my CPU (don't have NVidia card, just AMD Radeon), and while it took 4 minutes (while I lowered Subframes to 4 and FPS to 1 - you know, just 6-core CPU with 8 GB of RAM), it really did something with the dress (adjust it to some pose).

I also need to set Gravity to 0.1 from 1.0 (otherwise the dress simply dissolve to the ground like fresh paint)..
