No not dead. Just as usual (or rather unusually) lots of work piled up and I can't dedicate much of time for this now.

actually that may be the entire logic behind entire universe here.
as characters in every story may be independent but also they share memories from other stories even if it did not happen to them. But they never get divided.
So you could assume that they die for real and then story continues in another universe.

I think this village could be actually a purgatory/hell where they end up if they die but if they die there they may get back to their own world :) Or something like that which I didn't decide yet :)
