Didn't have time to run many tests but it seems that would depend on the abilities of the 3d-model you want to use. I have only a few realistic/3D basemodels and of those most can't do bloody things in general. I've only tried one model and the inpainting results were discoloured and contorted but the general concept was present. So my guess would be it should be possible but will take some experimenting.
