Well, it would still be guro, if there's blood and gore along the way, I'd say. Just as an example think of Teh Daves' Angels Corps where (just by ignoring any continuity) the girls reappear alive and well after their various demises, but still there's guro happening in between, right?. In your scenario the girls' "resurrection" would just have an explanation, would even be the focus. Still I think I'll go with a plain perma death scenario. But since I won't start anything on that for a few days anyways I'll still have time to further think about it, so who knows. ^^
