First of all, thank you so much for considering my request, it means a lot to me!

There is a game called "Gunner-chan!", but that is entirely unrelated. Shooter-chan is just a nickname I gave the character anyway, most of the players tend to refer to her as Mori-chan, naming her after the (fictional) Morimiya Middle School she shoots up. I've also seen someone nickname her Not Impor-tan (as a reference to the game Hatred). Overall we are talking about a pretty niche game and character. As for her gun, it absolutely doesn't -have- to be a Ruger Mini-14, there is a variety of other guns you can unlock in the game, including more generic ones such as a renamed AR-15 variant/clone.

And yeah, something like this style would work just fine! I don't have a preference regarding the viewer's gun, and given the POV it might not even be in the pic, so either way it's entirely your call.
