>Thank you so much for the work flow!
Glad to help a fellow perv 😄
> That helps A LOT! Question too - how long do your renderings take?
Normally in the 2-20 minute range, depending on resolution. Simple still image things can be just 15-20 seconds.
> I'm wondering how I can reduce the quality down so it doesn't take an overly long time (less than 10 minutes?) when I'm just trying to get the prompt correct.
Funny timing you should bring this up now. I hadn't used the first/last workflow in a while, but just this moment I'm wondering how damned long my current first/last render is going to take.
I didn't take note of exactly when I started this particular task, but it's been at least 30-40 minutes, and I'm only 80% through the first of the two KSamplers.
I did a low-res test of the task first. That only took 2-3 minutes. I upped the resolution to near-HD (1328x992), and, wow. Maybe an hour from now I'll have something.
I've normally been messing around at 480p or 720p. I upped the resolution today because I was hoping to avoid image degradation when I fed frames from one render back into another.
Oh, about the idea of reducing the quality until you get the prompt right... it's definitely a good thing to do, but simply changing resolution after you think you've got things right can cause random deviations from the results you got before, even with all the same inputs and seed values.
This issue was driving me crazy last night when I finally got a good result for an effect at low-res, and then it tooks dozens of retries with and without prompt changes to finally get what I wanted again at higher res.
