Has anyone ever tried these more "Non-moderated" AI's? Any opinions on them? I know CD was using one in that batch download he put out, and the difference was night and day, with Grok being heads and shoulders above what even CD could produce with it. Below is what Grok says are the alternative Non-Moderated options. Any opinions?
===========
Other models (e.g., Llama-based or open-source): Varies widely. Local/open-source versions (like uncensored Llama fine-tunes) can be fully permissive with no built-in moderation, but hosted versions (e.g., via Meta or platforms) apply corporate filters similar to the above. Grok is often compared favorably to these for "uncensored" feel without needing custom setups.
Here's Groks breakdown:
Here's a more detailed breakdown of the "Other models (e.g., Llama-based or open-source)" category you highlighted, with specific brand names, models, and platforms as of April 2026. These vary enormously in permissiveness depending on whether they're run locally (user-controlled, often fully uncensored) or hosted (corporate filters applied, similar to mainstream tools).
Llama-Based Models (Meta's Llama Family)
Llama 4 series (including Llama 4 Scout, Maverick, Behemoth): Base models from Meta. Hosted versions (e.g., via Meta.ai or platforms like Groq, Together.ai, or Perplexity) apply corporate safety filters that block or sanitize explicit NSFW text/roleplay. Local/open-weights versions allow full customization.
Uncensored fine-tunes: "Abliterated" variants (safety layers surgically removed) like Llama 4 70B Abliterated or Llama 4 Scout uncensored. These achieve near-zero refusal rates for erotic roleplay, detailed adult fiction, and creative writing. Popular on Hugging Face for local runs (requires significant VRAM: 40GB+ for 70B models).
Community examples: Dirty-Muse-Writer-v01-Uncensored-NSFW (12B-20B, focused on adult fiction), Heartsync/NSFW-Uncensored (8B-20B).
Older Llama variants: Llama 2/3 uncensored fine-tunes (e.g., llama2-uncensored by George Sung, Wizard Vicuna Uncensored, Airoboros-L2). Still used for lightweight local setups; excellent for roleplay but less capable than Llama 4 in reasoning.
Other Open-Source LLM Fine-Tunes for NSFW/Text
These are typically downloaded from Hugging Face or run via tools like Ollama, LM Studio, or SillyTavern (for character/roleplay interfaces). They often have zero built-in moderation when run locally:
Dolphin 3.0 (based on Llama 3.1/4): Highly steerable, precise, and unfiltered for logic-heavy or explicit content. Strong for detailed NSFW scenarios without fluff.
Nous Hermes 3 (Llama 3.2 base): Excellent for long-form creative writing, character consistency in erotic roleplay, and immersive narratives.
MythoMax-L2-13B: Legendary for creative writing and erotic storytelling; coherent long-form outputs.
Pygmalion 2 (7B): Built specifically for character role-playing and immersive dialogue, including adult themes.
Mixtral 8x7B uncensored fine-tunes: Efficient Mixture-of-Experts model; good balance of intelligence and speed for NSFW chats.
Other notables: Dark Champion (abliterated MoE), Gemma-3 Heretic variants, and collections like DavidAU's 200+ roleplay/NSFW models on Hugging Face.
Local setups win for true freedom: no refusals on adult content, full privacy, and custom fine-tuning. However, they require hardware (GPU with 8–48GB+ VRAM depending on size) and technical setup.
Open-Source Image Generation Models (for NSFW Visuals)
Hosted versions often add filters; local runs (via ComfyUI, Automatic1111, or Forge) are usually unrestricted with the right checkpoints/LoRAs:
Flux / FLUX.2 series (Black Forest Labs): FLUX.2 [max], FLUX.2 Pro, FLUX.2 Schnell, FLUX.1 Kontext Pro. Highly regarded for photorealism, anatomy, skin texture, and artistic styles. Local/uncensored versions are popular for explicit NSFW (realistic or stylized). Hosted platforms vary—some permissive, others restricted. Often called one of the strongest open options for high-quality adult imagery.
Stable Diffusion variants (Stability AI): Stable Diffusion 3.5, SDXL, Stable Image Ultra. The foundation for most NSFW image gen. Local installs with community fine-tunes (thousands available) allow full explicit content. Hosted versions (e.g., via Stability.ai or third parties) are more filtered.
Platforms for models: Civitai (massive library of NSFW-specific checkpoints, LoRAs, and embeddings—age-gated but community-driven for hyper-specific kinks/styles).
Hosted Platforms & Specialized NSFW Tools
These often wrap open-source models with user-friendly interfaces but may add their own rules:
Civitai: Best for discovering/downloading uncensored Stable Diffusion/Flux models and LoRAs tailored to NSFW.
Specialized NSFW-focused: Promptchan AI, Candy.ai, OurDream.ai, PixelBunny.ai, RPRP.ai, Venice AI, Perchance AI, Muah.ai, Joi.com. These emphasize uncensored text + image/video for adult roleplay/companions, often using fine-tuned Flux or SD backends. Many are paid but offer more freedom than mainstream tools.
API aggregators: Api.Airforce (access to Flux, etc., with NSFW options), OpenRouter (some uncensored routes).
How Grok Compares to These
Grok (xAI) / Grok Imagine offers a convenient "middle ground": more permissive than ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini for text erotic roleplay and suggestive images (via Spicy Mode for partial nudity, erotic themes, and some fictional adult content), without needing local hardware or setup. However:
It still has limits (e.g., blocks full explicit photorealistic acts, non-consensual deepfakes of real people, and has tightened post-2025/early 2026 backlash).
Open-source local options (abliterated Llama + Flux/SD) provide full permissiveness and zero corporate oversight but require technical effort and hardware.
In short: Grok is often praised for delivering an "uncensored feel" in a polished, hosted product. For absolute freedom (especially explicit visuals or zero refusals), local Llama-based fine-tunes (Dolphin, Hermes, abliteration) + Flux/Stable Diffusion via Civitai/ComfyUI are the gold standard among open-source users.
Policies and capabilities shift with updates, regulations, and community fine-tunes. If you want recommendations for a specific use case (e.g., text roleplay only, photorealistic images, local setup guides, or comparisons on hardware requirements), or details on any named model/platform, just specify! Always stay within legal bounds—no illegal content like CSAM.
