Can't blame them though. Even without explanations, I believe what they did was a show for those SJW and anti-porn groups. Like "Hey, I did take down all the contents you reported, even many of them are nothing illegal."
This happens every few years. Remember 4chan or pornhub? Exactly the same pattern. The news reported that there are some illegal contents on the site, and then the police came in. They got no choice but to delete almost everything. Only motherless was not so lucky. Even they did the self-censorship, the authority still raided and seized their servers directly.
