Legally speaking edits would be fair use. I don't agree with posting these edits to pixiv though. It looks bad for the original artist to post guro edits of their work to a site where they are still operating.

I don't see any problem with charging a fee to edit an existing image anyways. It's still work. Most of these artists are making money by drawing 3rd party IPs that they don't own too.
