Those are some very good reasons to drop file:// support. I think maybe using Tauri as a lightweight wrapper for the game could make sense. It's based on Rust, but the game doesn't really require any back-end code, so it's just using it as a wrapper. (I mean, I assume the current version doesn't use any Node specific stuff from Electron)
