The cadet is forced to watch as her commander is squeezed beside her.

Then her own box begins to shrink. at first, its merely uncomfortable and claustrophobic… but soon the box is crushing tight against her skin, and bending her limbs at angles they shouldn't go.

Crack, snap pop…

Her limbs break at the joints, and the cadet screams as her body is forced to conform to a more cubic shape.

She's compressed to about half her original volume/ bones break, and important organs rupture, and the air escapes from her lungs and doesn't return, but against all odds, she's still barely live when the machine poops her out onto a conveyer belt.

Unlike her comrades, she gets the uniquely awful experience of still being conscious when the slicer begins to convert her mass into ration sized portions.
