I hate tell you but if you are just doing basic drawings, your prices are way, way too high.
The standard price for an average comm for a single character is $40-60 depending on the artist, and that includes backgrounds.
Especially since you are demanding not to work to a schedule, as the standard etiquette for that is lowering the price for the client, often by around $5-10.

You should be looking at pricing your drawings around $50-65 at the most, otherwise you will get an initial rush of commissioners who pay high, don't get what they want in a reasonable time-frame and will make your life miserable about it.

I do feel like to leave a single feedback tho, +20usd for snuff drawing is kinda irritating and might scare off potential customers, i suggest to just raise your prices to match the snuff price increase rather than giving an arbitrary big price increase to a small category

I'll say this as nicely as I can, consider it earnest feedback from someone who drops $200USD a month on commissions being brutally honest with you.

This price structure is both incredibly confusing and completely nonsensical. This is not how commissions are normally done, and I currently wouldn't take one because you present it in a way that comes across as incredibly stand-offish and hostile to the commissioner.
Things like "pay to see the line-work" set off huge red flags and make me expect that you will begin an argument and ghost me halfway through a commission for asking to see what you are drawing.
No time limits and threatening to refund at any time set off alarm bells too, as these are very common tactics of scammers looking to make a quick buck.

Its also unfortunate to have to say this, but your prices are astronomically high, without the expected skill level to justify the price.
You are good at drawing, but you are not at the level where you can charge hundreds for a picture. You are simply not Coffingag or Axsens.
You can and will reach their skill level if you draw every day for a few years, but you simply aren't there yet.


Its perfectly standard for an artist to throw a rough sketch or line-work at you so that you can make sure the picture is what you want. If I can't see what you are drawing for me and know that you are getting details right, then I'm not getting what I paid for.

Also you will lose about $5 USD EVERY time you use PayPal. Not me, YOU, as its taken from the receivers paycheck. If you break your payments into three separate stages, you will eat $15 in costs off every commission.

Attached to my post is an example of a price list from an Artist I commission regularly.

If you legitimately want the work, and care about the art as a hobby, you need to dramatically simplify your methodology as well as your initial impression, as it honestly comes across that you don't want to do this.

How you choose to handle this criticism and feedback will determine how well you do, please remember at the end of the day I want more artists drawing, never less.

No, no, no, I greatly appreciate the feedback. I built my commission sheet from the feedback from another artist who hates low-priced commissions, believing that it hurts the whole community, which convinced me to set the prices this high.

Honestly speaking... I do dislike doing this kinds of commissions. other than the artist's opinion. I intentionally made them this high not because I want as much money as possible. But to do this stuff as less as possible.

After doing my first cheap $100 animation commission for a 1-min video for the first time, ignoring the same artist's objections, I immediately regretted the time and the work I spent on making that commission and gave up doing animation commissions for now.

I have gotten commission orders and offer with this current commission prices and at the moment I don't feel like this is something I really wanna do.

So I did a recent change to the commission prices to make the barrier of entry difficult. But then added Discount Deals on specific interests that I really like doing.

I noticed that I was actually comfortable doing a $39 commission rather than the $90 one I did.

So with this feedback... I may do some changes to the wording of the description. But I'll still keep it blunt so it turns away most people.
I'll still add some Discount deals to do stuff I really prefer.
But all in all, I don't really like doing this...

The money I make here isn't worth it and my main job overshadows it, and I enjoy that more.
This commission stuff is mainly to build up experience, which your feedback is one of them,
But I want to take it as slow as possible... So the prices will still be aimed to turn away most people.

For a beginner this looks pretty good. The animation is fairly smooth, no janky jitters or sudden jerks when things move. The camera is moving a bit fast though.

So I decided to put 'Snuff High Society: Info Gal 5' on hiatus for now.
My reasoning is because when I work on this type of projects...
I usually want to enjoy the progress of the project itself.
Unfortunately, the current theme isn't clicking for me as intended.
It possible that my current take on it isn't melding well as I expected.
Unlike the previous parts... I wasn't as engaged with this part.
Possible reason are...
- I was unsure as to how it was going to end
- I didn't execute the 'Cooking' theme as well as I hoped
- The project required more assets that was needed. But didn't leave much impact equal to the effort.
Overall, I think its best that when I come back to this project. I have to start from scratch.
The project itself is only to scratch a hobby of mine, and if that scratch isn't even being scratched.
What's the point?

However, this doesn't mean that I'll be placing all of my SNS content under warps.
Instead, I wanna start small again... And what better way to explore more of this dystopia than to jump into the boots of the 'Lower Class'

So I got a confession to make...
Every time I scour through the internet.
Most of the time, I am deprived of snuff animations; make sense cause they're very niche, and I've seen all of them...
ANYWAYS, when I'm left blue-balled.
I've gotten into the habit of taking my existing unfinished wips, and I modify the shiet out of them.

Pretty much... I doodle them.
This usually involves:
- Changing the skin color of a character multiple times.
- adding a dick or breasts.
- editing the hair to somwhat a different hairstyle.
- Adding looping SFXs/Voices with 0% syncing efforts.
- Or completely replacing the character with a different one, and transferring the same animation.
And to top it off..
If I end up liking that Save version... I will keep it and keep changing the music based only my mood that moment.

This ends up with a very draft level project that I had no intentions of releasing...
And I've been doing it for years, even all the way back in Adobe Animate days.
Only now, Blender makes it much easier to quickly doodle an existing project.

Now I'm stuck in this endless loop, ending up with multiple save files of different variations of the same project.
It doesn't help that, because I had no intention of finishing those doodles...
they remain draft level and I fill up the rest with my own imagination... Which was "GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!"
.. huh, and then I end up fully getting tired of that project & various doodles.
That I end up starting another new project, leaving the previous one to be worked on in a later date :p

Anyways, here's one of those barebones doodle projects I quickly mocked-up just cause I like the way how helpless they look.
Even changed the function of their dress to act more like some bondage cage to keep them immobile; plus its GOLD!

Now, Remember... A pinch of disbelieve and imagination is required to be able to use this doodle.

Like what I said before... I accidentally bit more than I can chew and burnt myself out, to the point I don't wanna touch that other project for a while.

To resolve that issue. I decided to start a new project from scratch to hopefully get back going again. Instead of trying to force that other project to work, I could already tell I did not like where it was going. So it'll be shelved for now, and its place be a more practical $5 animation.

Most likely I'll have to push that back to the next month.

So here's a return back to the world of Snuff High Society...
I've experimented with more background scenes... But for those who were aware of the other unused backgrounds. No fret... Those can always be used for another animation.
Hopefully... This new attempt in trying to flesh out more fo the animations in the future would grow to be more immersive, and ideally, won't eat too much worktime.
