This is so interesting to read as I'm in the opposite camp. My interest in guro is fueled by my narcissistic delusions. When I think about how much better I am than everything else, I just want to go murder some children to display it.

And yes I'm also one of the people who feels no guilt or regret about any of this stuff. Yet, what you wrote at the end is suspiciously familiar. When I tell myself that in fact I'm the same as everyone else, not in any way superior then I start to lose interest in guro. And I know my narcissism is unhealthy, but it makes me very sad to lose it and my guro fetish.

So perhaps for both of us it's an ego/self-esteem thing. Idk.
