Um I don't care about my individual cells. Where did you get this idea? Before cells were discovered, did people somehow already care about them? And society doesn't have the agency to"know" anything, much less care in an objectively observable manner. Neither do people.

In fact, conceptualizations like identity or society don't exist in any objective sense. They're just probabilistic, observable trends utilized by the mind.
