if that was true self-harmers should feel totally fine with their scars and not hide them but as we know opposite is true as those people cut themselves then take extraordinary effort to hide what they done.

Also they carefully pick places that are easy to hide and make quite o lot of planning on how to do it where to hide what razor to use etc. they discuss on the internet where and how to do is what clothes to buy to hide scars and so on.
So they do think about future.
