Then just walk through the citadel of fear.

Or look into some other schools of thought. Rosecrucianism, wicca, tibetan throat singing, discordianism, underwater basket weaving, freemasonry, free software... many ways lead to rome, if the choice is yours, why not look at all and pick the one you like the most?
