It doesn't seem to be working well for me. The images stay "hidden" and don't seem to remember that they should be showing by default. It starts by having the NSFW option not on (the NSFW option text is in front of black), but the images are still hidden.
If I click to turn NSFW mode on, (box behind the text becomes grey), images are still hidden as expected.
I have to click again to turn NSFW mode from on to off for the hidden images to be revealed again. Unfortunately, this seems to reset whenever I go to a new page. I'm using a PC, Windows 10 Firefox 57.

Using my iphone actually doesn't have this problem and the images are not hidden unless I toggle the mode, just my PC has the constant hidden problem.

So in summary, for me it seems like while showing NSFW is on by default, the site's images are still hidden until I flick the switch to tell it to show them, which resets on every new thread/reload/board.
