okay so, first off i wanna preface this with my perspective here. i'm a mentally ill, traumatized, and generally messed trans gal. i have a lot of difficulty socializing, and i'm high-maintenance. i'm not gonna mention why i'm on here cause it's both obvious and ambiguous, but i felt it was important i give my take. generally, most people struggle with dating by rushing themselves into relationships or ignoring things that irk you, but in this case there's tons more at play. because of the fact that being into guro brings up themes of abuse, you're really a lot more likely to find that the people who you're into that share your fascination are probably going to have trauma or some sort of mental illness. by seeking a sadist/manic gf you need to be ready to seriously invest yourself into the relationship, because you'll need to establish trust, be able to cope with your partner's non-sexual needs, and make sure you're comfortable in putting yourself into potentially harmful or dangerous situations. i (discounting myself) know a pretty large number of girls that are into guro, so it's not like you're buying a lottery ticket, you just need to look in the right places and realize that these people don't put themselves out there because of anxiety/trauma/mental health/alienation/or lack of adequate spaces to socialize. i feel like i'm basically teaching a crash course in dating but like… if shit gets toxic, don't continue it and re-evaluate your relationship. take into mind you're generally going to have a much more intense relationship experience, AND MAKE SURE YOU CAN ADEQUATELY CARE FOR THEM. as for traits… eccentricity, a perceived superiority complex, a fascination with the morbid, aggressive behavior, niche interests, obscure music genres that can be generally described as somber (grindcore and crust are two obvious ones), manic behavior, etc.

i hoped this helped in any sort of meaningful way to you nerds. my excuse for being terrible at formatting and writing is hypographia. this is largely anecdotal.
