Oh I don't mind breaking it down for you. When I look into subcategories of guro, I'm looking through 1. Hangings, 2. Impalement, 3. Those "Heart" Threads. Why this is, is because usually there is at least the slightest bit of context. This can also include "Execution" threads as well. It's more than just the shocking imagery, it's the story behind the brutal deaths that's the most sexually gratifying aspect for me personally. I like the story more than anything else involved and if I can make a rich and exciting background that led to this one particular point where everything comes to an end: success! I scroll and scroll and scroll past works where it's just some person on a blank white background without any contextualization looking for something with a rich context. Sometimes that means another character involved, sometimes it means dialogue, sometimes it means just any background scene at all. What matters is that it stimulates my imagination and provides me with a setting, environment, timeline, and circumstance. I think it's the same reason some women really love to roleplay and get off on that…I'm a terrible roleplayer irl and a bad online RP partner (forgetful!) but man am I good at coming up with tales on the fly.
As for grisly, nasty deets–I'm a huge fan of vagina-mouth/vagina-chest impalement. That's just brutal as fuck! Wow! Seeing that in real life would make me cry of course, but in art and beautifully rendered? I'm a fan. When it comes to hangings, I like the images that imply struggle more than the short drop and pop sort. Something about whatever must be going on in the victim's head is fascinating! Also: why are they there? What did they do? Nothing? Horrible things? All those questions and answering them to create a character profile and then recreate it for a whole new fantasy is muy bueno.

>maybe I can be a bit too nice for women
So, I want to preface this by saying that my interactions with men on this site and others and even in real life are just as varied and unique as my interactions with women. Men, transmen, transwomen, we're all people and we all have complex and varied experiences and emotions. Human is human is human. Yes, there are some things that men and women just don't have in common biologically (like the way women's bodies store fat that translates into cellulite when scrunched up) but I've absolutely NOTHING against men as a gender or sex.
Nevertheless, when I see anyone, male or female, reduce women (or any other sex/gender) to a fundamentally misguided stereotype that seems to derive from a distinct lack of interaction with said gender/sex…that doesn't strike me as "nice" in the least. Nor does it strike me as polite, welcoming, or in any way/shape/form kind. People who have preconceived notions about an entire subcategory of people and speak of them as though there can be not a shred of deviation from what they consider to be the norm (of something they cannot possibly understand due to lack of firsthand experience in the matter) do not give the impression of being "too nice." In fact, they're not nice at all. They're mainly people I simply ignore for the simple fact that in life, it is much more efficient to keep oneself away from rudeness. Not to mention, it is also much safer and less uncomfortable to not associate with rude people.
Forgive me, Onix. But from your conduct here, you do not strike me as a nice nor welcoming person. Not like B.B., who has asked relevant questions about the topic at hand and has not been confrontational toward anyone involved in the lengthy conversation already at hand. My perceptions of tone within text and my interpretations of your statements has led me to the conclusion that you find yourself to be a very "nice guy" and I truly do believe that you could be. But not right now. So, with that stated, should you require answers from me in the future, I will answer them should they fall under the essential topic of this thread and reserve the right not to answer should they be in any way distasteful.
I look forward to our conversations, both B.B. and Onix and I'll be happy to provide a perspective should you need it.
