>Ive been in a lot of women owned porn spaces now and theyre definitely different. A lot better. Basically, theyre treated like a bar would be in real life: people are banned for disturbing others. The communities are nicer and usually fairly sizeable, but you wouldnt get invited to one unless you were being social in the guro community for a long time AND you were really nice and docile.
That may seem like a nice community on the surface, but it sounds horrible. It's like the sort of neighborhood you get with a homeowners association. Everything may look nice on the surface, but in the background it's a totalitarian elitist community that's ruled with an iron fist. It's far better to find a community that is free and welcomes people as they are, rather than a community that demands people conform to a mold. If you never see anyone behaving badly in a community, that's a sure sign that this is not a good place.
Certainly you might enjoy your elitist community for a while, until it decides that you're not good enough and kicks you out, or until you realize that you are forced to constantly pretend to be someone you're not just to prevent yourself from being kicked out.
This seems akin to when Tumblr banned adult content. Suddenly a large number of people got to feel what it was like when a community decides you're not good enough and kicks you out. It's doubtful that many people learned anything from that, but we can hope that some communities became at least a little more welcoming.
