I agree with you soooo fully, and you more or less said what I was thinking but didnt have time to type.

In my time moderating Ive had to ban:
People sending their dick pics to thirteen year olds on other servers
People who ask other people to cut themselves
People who literally try to berate artists, calling their art shitty in DMs, to devalue their work so that they can demand requests for the purposes of critique
Another person who tried to make people cut themselves and show it. In this case, the person they were pestering was specifically trying to stop cutting, and they had been encouraging that person to go back.

Plus, about 5 or 6 times Ive had to fucking coddle some guy who ran off a girl. "Will you talk to whatever-chan for me? She blocked me and I wanna know why" and whatever chan will always day "please dont tell him you saw me online, hes mega creepy."

Half the time that someone needs to talk to me as a mod its because theyre sulking after literally running someone out of my server, and they want to act like the other person is being sensitive or unreasonable. I find it hella frustrating and a waste of my time.

The longer I manage these things the more those types of things exhaust me.

Anyway, lets talk about free places.

There are places that are free and then there are places where men jusr assert their dominance, literally, over women, and call anything disagreeing with that encroaching on their freedom to express themselves.

Im talking about servers where if you have a female name, the mod changes it to bitch and decides your his slave. Anyone who disagrees is called and sjw or a white knight and argued with until they leave or get banned. Ive seen that happen.

I was also in a server where the moderator literally demanded everyone give themselves a role based on their sex, if youre lying or you dont show it, youre banned tomorrow.

But Ive also seem nearly ruleless servers. Women and girls existed in those ones, there were obviously underaged girls. But also a girl that posted pictures where she hugged dead animals. Tons of real gore. The leader there rabted about censorship and stuff a lot but in general he was really good to his members and even had some limits on the undeaged users.

My point being, honestly:

Are you talking about a server where everyone can do what they want?

Or a server where you can do what you want?

And, is there a point at which stopping someone from acting in a certain way *is* allowing someone else the freedom to act in their own way? Like, if you allow murder, youre enabling one person to take the right to live grom another. Similarly, if you allow aggressive behavior, youre just allowing brash people to take the ability to speak from sensitive people.

What I find mostly though is that brash, cruel, or weird people silence everyone else. I'll literally get 3 or 4 messages when someone posts something like
"Lol, I wanna cook a horse pussy and eat it."

People will screenshot that, send it to me, and lurk silently. Now personally I wouldnt ban that guy necessarily, but its that kind of thing. Situations where one person makes everyone else feel uncomfortable speaking.
