Women and girls make up 7% of the global prison population. Males make up 93%. What fantasy world do you live in where there are more women in jail than men? Getting punished harsher for self defense is harder to quantify but in all 1st world countries it tends to be men who are treated harsher. The UK, especially, have charged men for killing home invaders due to "excessive force". I've never heard of women being charged for it.
