That's not what I wrote. I wrote that most weird fetishes - like, *really* weird ones, stuff that *shouldn't* be arousing to people - stem from not having a healthy sexual experience in your formative years. It can be either traumatic or lacking in some way; your mind then finds *something* easily accessible to you and you grow attracted to that. For me, the earliest seeds of affinity towards depictions of sexy women in violent situations stem from even earlier childhood, so that's what my brain picked. For someone else, in other circumstances, it would have been some other strange fetish.

You're confusing people who like guro - as in drawings, videogames, stories, scenes in movies - with people who get off to literal gore. While there's definitely some overlap in "fanbase", they are two different kinks.
