According to those articles, a lot of children(not all) find it funny because of the social connotations, not a fixation of shit for its own sake. They grow out of it and it doesn't have anything to do with arousal. That humor doesn't translate into them actually eating human shit and rolling around it.

I don't personally. Those games also don't have that realistic violence and dead bodies aren't lingered on. Kids might like that kind of thing because it feels edgy to them, but I don't think they want to jerk off to it, and they wouldn't want to play a realistic, human dissection simulator.

This argument is pointless. You think guro as a sexual fetish should be super popular, when to everybody else it's plainly obvious why it isn't, and it's not just arbitrary social restrictions that came out of thin air either. The least you can do it understand this on a cognitive level if doing so emotionally is impossible.
