I think you might be getting your sources from a very niche group, you need to look beyond the usual circles, who are seriously these people refusing to come because of that content?
Most refuse to go back to 3dcg due to trolls like the EVCM fanboy which plagued the previous gurochan.

Also where do we draw the line? 3D models that look human? So stylized 3D lolis will still be acceptable? Will Chalk's and Wiltmask content still be allowed for not looking realistic enough or content like theirs will still get the axe?

I hate realistic 3DCG loli, I would definitely prefer it gone, It's a blight for the eyes for many people, me included, but I can see the slippery slope in banning it. So you don't want to ban it because it is amoral, but rather because a group of people is complaining? How is that a better reason if it is equally arbitrary?
So we ban 3D loli trash, the site gets more people for maybe a week or two, then "The group" suddenly decide they are also not ok with this, then not ok with that, what sort of guarantee are we offered that a year or two from now regular loli, fur or other content will not be pushed away by the same disgruntled people?

I think anon might be referring to guro content specifically, loli guro and guro is mostly 3DCG nowadays, think SFM, Koikatsu galleries, Honey Select Galleries and Poser works. The vast majority of guro/loli guro content today is made using one of those programs, compare it to the amount of guro content still produced in 2D and I can see how it looks like it is dying.
Just search R-18G on Pixiv, over half of it in the past few years is Koikatsu/HoneySelect/SFM/Poser/3DCG or very poorly drawn scribbles.

Regular loli and reghular 2D work is nowhere near being replaced by 3D yet, but guro content is pretty much dominated by 3D.
