When it comes to the majority of ryona art on Pixiv, I can say without a doubt that I've seen hotter guro art in 80s era erotic magazines. Same with scat/gas art. There's definitely more art than there was back in 07, when everyone exclusively fapped to hentai CGs and malachi's art, but at what cost? For example, there was so much more loli art pandering to the fetish, some of it not even intentional. You were more likely to find an image of Lisa Simpson farting than art of some unnamed, fat black hipster girl with a nose ring sharting. Now whenever someone draws an existing character in an ecchi situation, they always age them up and draw them off model, which is a total boner killer for me. Same with guro. As we got deeper into the web 2.0 era, we got so much more lazier. Look at a GARO magazine from the 80s, and then look at the modern art on /g/. A lot of it is safe, squeaky-clean ryona art. It's sad when internet artists neuter themselves more than established mangaka like Kago. There's been better guro art on fearsome oekaki, and that wasn't even a guro site. But it makes sense, since guro has been a recurring art form on oekaki boards for many years. I'm happy some of the guys from Futaba's guro board are making art on our drawing BBS now. I feel like both oekaki and drawthreads (which don't exist on this site) will be the saving grace of guro
