That's BS, and you know it.
The point of this poster was that there would be more talent drawn into guro, if there was actually money to make.

Everyone has to do something to pay the bills and any activity that is not able to contribute to paying bills has to be put aside.

What that means is, that an artist who can live off producing his works, can make producing art his main priority which leads to more output and possibly higher quality through potential competition.

If any artist who would be willing to give guro a shot sees how toxic this community is towards professional work, then they don't even bother trying.

The latter is the current state of guro art.
