A decade or so ago I basically saw it as a successor to digg or ebaumsworld. Now it's basically a worse version of yahoo answers, where everyone judges and doxxes each other. There's also the hobbyist side to it, which is where a lot of people defend the site, but to be honest, I'd prefer a million forums filled to the brim with information on a specific topic, rather than using the poorly designed, AIDS ridden hellhole that is reddit. When it comes to r/guro specifically, >>669 basically summed it up. It's clean, it's filled with mediocre outsider artists trying to make bank off of "weirdo fetishists", and of course loli and things deemed "too gross" by the community are off the table. Why wouldn't I use this site instead?
