Kaguya's right. Doesn't oekaki literally mean "childish scribbles" or something along those lines in Japanese? The art's not meant to be viewed seriously, nor is it meant to be in high demand like the hentai on /g/ is. On /kaki/, there are some people that use the paint software, and others that upload dolcet sketches they drew in PT Sai. Oekaki boards used to be quite popular on a global level in the past, right? Not the case anymore. The only people that still use oekaki boards are the same people that invented it: the Japanese. Futaba's guro boards are already aware of GUROchan, and I think some of /kaki/'s userbase are actually from those boards. Straight up advertising boards with a dedicated thread tends to have the opposite effect, but casually bringing /kaki/ up in a thread on one of 2chan's oekaki/neta/guro boards would probably draw some new users in. But honestly, I share the same sentiments as kaguya. /kaki/ is fine how it is. Here's a tip >>1292, you want "MOAR traffic"? Draw some oekaki art.
