Pretty much the same! My oath was really straight so I'll recap:
sickestsites.com(the original guro hub and home of artists like AHdualism and also real live gore), then darksites.net(an even greater hub with a lot of real and fantasy sites listed) and at one point I've discovered gurochan(I think around 2005-2006)
If you are curious about these sites you can still find a lot of content on archive.org/web
And yes the old internet was even wilder!^^
