I wonder... I am actually interested in GUROchan's detailed history now that I am administrating it, but so little from the past is archived.

Also since it's relevant and you may have some clues, I am still curious about the exact foundation date of GUROchan. The earliest web.archive is https://web.archive.org/web/20050209090049/http://www.gurochan.net/frontpage.htm from 9 February 2005 and there is a newspost about DNS being updated from 8 January 2005, but that's all. Really leaves the question "Was it founded in late 2004 or very early 2005?" behind.
