You know, I have no idea when exactly it was founded first. If #guro on Rizon still has its old regulars (is animone still there?), you may be able to find out. Here's the history as I remember it:

1. gurochan.net created sometime when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
2. gurochan.net shut down for reasons unknown.
3. ANGEL_ created guroch.org, and I joined as a sysadmin in charge of security (just an excuse of mine to experiment with a production server).
4. The server was lost due to ANGEL_ forgetting to pay the host.
5. Me and enclaved (a crazy Russian DBA and old UNIX aficionado) set up gurochan.ch, with the server running in enclaved's home on a 200/200 Mbit line (or at that time was it running in another #guro member's bedroom?)
6. The domain was lost due to me forgetting to pay the registrar (lel).
7. Me and enclaved set up gurochan.cx.
8. enclaved vanished and was never seen again, and I had to move on, leaving the site to Straitjakit who apparently fucked everything up?

The rest you're aware of. I'm not sure on the exact dates, although I could probably find them if I dug through my IRC logs.

There are some crazy stories to tell about gurochan.ch/cx... Four-disk RAID0 arrays that kept breaking right when enclaved was having heroin withdrawals, forcing me to connect in the middle of the night over SSH and download a shitty proprietary RAID controller configuration program to reset the arrays... Nasty Nginx bugs being mixed with kernel networking bugs that caused TCP connections to get stuck in TIME_WAIT... enclaved selling some of his network hardware for heroin... Bugs in the OpenBSD side of a GRE tunnel (used as a reverse proxy) that we had to set up so Roskomnadzor couldn't block us due to loli... And a lot more. Those were crazy days.

If I get back on Rizon I can tell you some tales.
