There are in fact 2chan users present on GUROchan, although they seem to be very shy. If you weren't aware, 2chan's main guro board is completely wrecked. Trolls keep spamming kimchi memes and other utter retarded nonsense about some hikikomori poster that got doxed, and the mods don't give two shits about guro fans so they have no where else to go but here. I'm aware of 2chan's oekaki boards (which I assume most of the oekaki in the torrent folder originates from), and the Jissouseki BBS. Honestly I'm more curious about the western oekaki scene from 2005 and below; the IRC history of the all the artists that used to post on 2draw, badicalextreme, etc. Very fascinating stuff that you can't research today, what with Geocities and every other cool site being longdead.
