Ok I gotta make the smartass remark and just point out that it's a rule of thumb among pro sysadmins that backup systems that are not tested routinely are guaranteed to fail when you need to use them for real. With that said, I love this site, I love the effort that people who make it run put into doing so, and while not being able to restore from backup is unfortunate, who the hell has time to make sure their backup system is working until a problem actually requires it?
