I treat guro as a emotional driver. Mostly into amputation, rape/drugs and torture, I feel connected to victims and usually fantasize about them being saved and then trying to adapt to their new life and deal with phisical and mental problems. Have even cried over Dorei Usagi to Anthony (a non-guro hentai) and Sachisuke Masumura's My-Hime fanfic.
