In many countries, fictional sexual depictions of minors (17 and under), even if that depiction is only written, is criminalized. And that's not even taking into account the blackmail potential of someone being outed as frequenting this site.

I agree that the CP spam is unfortunate, but the moderator(s?) is/are pretty good about removing it (at least as good as they can be without constantly having the site open and refreshing). I haven't seen CP stay up for more than 12 hours after being reported, recently, and the mod(s) presumably have to work and sleep every day.

The only real solution would be to get more moderators, but whoever is currently in charge is understandably wary of allowing effectively anonymous people moderation power on the site
