Yes.
There is a huge similarity between propaganda and pornography in general.
I would argue propaganda is a sister genre of pornography.
IMO porn is a subgenre of drag which is a social performance of the erotic: identity, embodiment, power, gender and sexuality.
So drag blurs into propaganda (social performance of political identity like military marches), religious rituals (social performance of religious identity), superhero comics (depictions of the performance of gender, power and embodiment) and guro (depictions of social performances of disembodiment.)
The point being drag is voyeuristic, orgiastic, impersonal, dissociative and objectifying by its nature as performance.
