I was throwing around the term "ero-guro politics" or politics as violence porn or a performance of identity and power for a while.
You know police brutality, prison rape and military use of torture but also just regular old campaign rallies.
I mean like it kind of makes sense to think of so much of politics as a show as much as purely functional and intended to reinforce senses if identity and power and to terrify.
Still not really sure of a good word.
People talk about the aesthetisation of facism but I think if applies so much in ordinary society as well.
